This infuser basket has tiny, perforated holes that won't allow tea to escape, but will allow water to flow evenly over the tea to develop full flavor. The basket fits over openings 2-1/2" dia. or larger to accommodate most teapots and mugs. The lid doubles as a drip tray for the basket.
