Who is The Spice Shack?
Ah, that is a great question! We are a small family-owned business that is located in Northeast Indiana. The Spice Shack has no one exact day that it began; it just kind of happened. We ordered bulk spices and seasonings for personal use from a company in Missouri and we noticed a huge difference in the quality of what we got from that company to what was on our grocery store shelves. We also noticed a big price difference. So, our little wheels started turning and we realized that no one in our area had high-quality spices and/or rare herbs. We started researching companies that fit our needs. And here we are!
We want to provide you with fresh, colorful and hard-to-find spices and herbs. Our Bulk Bin items go through rigourous testing in a plant in Iowa before being delivered to us. Things such as tests to check levels of yeast, mold and bacterial pathogens, taste, smell and sight tests to determine quality and screen out adulterated product, and there is no selling of any products or any ingredients used that have been sterilized by irradiation or ethylene oxide (ETO). Safe and effective Steam sterilization to preserve product quality is used instead. We want the best for our customers!
Another reason to shop with us is that we will try to provide you with the customer service that you deserve. We try to run our business using Biblical guidelines. This is very important to us. We strongly believe that these guidelines are not only for our personal life but also for every part of our life, including business.
If you contact us by phone, you will actually talk to a living, breathing person (unless said person is away from the phone). If you contact us by email, we will return an email within a day, unless it is Sunday. If you can take the time to contact us then we will definitely take the time to help you in any way we can.
