Distilled from the common culinary garden plant, sage is a potent essential oil and should be used with discretion. It can cause severe skin irritation when applied neat. Women who are pregnant and people with epilepsy should avoid sage oil altoghether.
 
Sage has a fresh, herbaceous scent. Try one or two drops in combination with lavandin for a purifying diffusion.
