Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica), also known as Asiatic pennywort, is a small annual herb native to parts of Asia and northern Australia. A mild adaptogen, preparations of the dry herb are popular throughout the world. Gotu Kola has an herbaceous flavor with a hint of bitterness and a slightly salty finish.
 
To prepare as a tea, pour 8 oz. boiling water over 1 tsp. of herb. Cover and steep 3-5 minutes, strain and serve immediately.
