DIY Valentine's Chocolates
Updated: Jan 18
Treat your valentine to a box of special chocolates made just by you. Gather the ingredients and a decorative box, and you can put this together in about five minutes! 1. Separate 1 large bar of organic, Fair Trade CertifiedTM dark chocolate into squares.
2. Assemble spices of the flavors you’d like to top the chocolate with, such as cayenne or other chilies, allspice, cinnamon, anise seed, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg, sea salt, black pepper. 3. Prepare other toppings, such as crushed coffee beans, coconut, chopped nuts and whipped cream. 3. Use hot water to lightly wet the top of the dark chocolate, then sprinkle on or dip into the toppings of your choice. Top a few with whipped cream and sprinkles of spice. 4. Allow wet chocolates to dry, leaving the special toppings attached. 5. Place in a shallow box that you decorate to your liking. If using whipped cream, refrigerate chocolates until gifting time. If you are near a Dollar Tree or Dollar General, they often have inexpensive gift boxes and seasonal items.
